It is Time to Pick a Side and Get Off the Fence…

One of my mentor’s, Jim Rohn, said “There is a battle between good and evil and we are in the middle.”

Jim went to be with the Lord last year on December 5th. One of the things that I am thankful for is that I was able to see him in person twice, once in Florida and the other in California.

He did a wonderful job of weaving scripture into his speeches, using the parables to help us understand the philosophy of success. As a lost Christian at the time, I am thankful that he did this because I listened to him all the time and it helped me re-commit my life to Jesus. Thank you, Jim, I can’t wait to see you in heaven.

I say all of that to say this…

We are facing some very trying times right now and the battle lines are being drawn.

We have massive civil unrest happening in Europe.

We have an out of control government looking to get into every aspect of our lives in the US.

We have unemployment climbing in our country which could lead to civil unrest in US.

The funny thing is the war has already been won.

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:30

When Jesus said those words the battle was over.

But for the people on this earth, we have to pick what side we are going to be on. The fact is we already know who wins and He will be coming back to claim what is His.

The problem we face is that we do not know when that time will come. And we have to make this choice before:

1. We die.

2. Jesus comes back to claim His kingdom on earth.

With everything that is happening now, it seems that the prophesy written in the Bible is smack down right in front of us. So I beg you to take a look at your life NOW and commit to turning your life over to Jesus… NOW before it is too late.

As this may seem like a dreary, take heart, that once you commit, He will not leave you there.

It is written:

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to HIS purpose. Romans 8:28

This is all for “HIS purpose.” And He gave us the free will to choose what side we are going to be on. This requires us to give up things of this earth that we have been accustomed to and this scares many people.

We may have to change some of our habits, we may have to change some of the people we associate with, we may have to change some of the TV shows we watch and the internet sights we visit.

But the reward is always greater then the price we have to pay because Jesus already paid the ultimate price for us with His blood on the cross. All we have to do is accept that wonderful gift that God has given us.

And again with the issues we face in this world, here is God’s promise to us:

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 29 – 39

I don’t know about you, but that is the side that I want to be on.

Please take some time TODAY, before it is too late and take stock in your life and decide what side you are going to be standing on when the curtain comes down.

For those who think it is too late for you, as long as you are breathing while you are reading this message, you still have time.

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”

Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:39 – 43

This man hanging next to Jesus, who was about to die for a crime he committed, confessed he was there for his sins and accepted Jesus as THE Savior and entered into heaven that day of his death.

It is never too late, but the clock is ticking and the thing that none of us know is:

1. The time of our death

2. When Jesus will come back to claim His kingdom

So don’t hesitate! Do it NOW!

Make no mistake about it, the war has been won, we simply have to pick a side.

As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,

God Bless You,

John Clark
