My mentor, Jim Rohn says, “Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you.”
How does that set with you?
Does it seem selfish?
Does it make you feel like you are leaving others behind?
He discusses what the stewardess says before the plane takes off and what to do if the air masks fall from the ceiling. What do you do first? Do you put everyone’s mask on first before you put yours on?
Or do you secure your mask first and then help those around you?
Of course, you put your mask on first and then you help others.
When it comes to your life, the only one responsible for your happiness is you. And you are the designer of that life.
You can design your life to your liking or you can simply live with the life that forms around you without your input.
The chose is yours.
What actions are you taking right now to bring about the life you desire?
Or do you even have a vision of the life you would like to live?
Have you taken the time to write out what you would like your life to look like? From the amount of money you have invested to the vacations you would like to take every year.
Without that picture of the life you would like to live, you will be destined to be lead around by your nose at the whim of others.
I can’t imagine this is the type of life you would like to live.
If you haven’t built that picture in your mind of the true life you would like to live and then start to take concrete action towards it’s attainment.
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,
John Clark
I really liked this post. I'm not much of a lifestyle design person. Still learning. Did not even know such a thing existed.
I good friend of mine, Gordie Rogers first introduced me to the concept. He has his own lifestyle blog. Would appreciate if you stopped by. You can mention that I referred you. I am sure you two guys will get on like a house on fire. Gordie is always open to guest posts as well as being able to do guest posts for others. You are both in the same life style niche.
