Success does not come without the magic of labor.
In the United States, we will be celebrating Labor Day on September 1st. This holiday was originated in 1882 by a union in New York in an effort to provide a day off for “the working citizen”.
The fact is that without labor, you deny yourself the right to receive anything.
Your success is determined by your ability to properly use the time of the day to profitably produce a result based on your unique talents and abilities.
When you do this, you have started the receiving process.
Now don’t get me wrong, should there be a time to rest and the answer is…. YES! But the rest should be limited to just enough time to regain your strength to continue to produce a result based on your goal list.
This is why it is important to have a well balanced goals program with goals in the areas of fitness, relationships, financial, career and business, and spiritual.
Follow this by utilizing the 24 hours in the day you have to focus on those goals during the proper time add up to building a successful life.
Let me give you an example:
List of present tense goals: I weigh 180 pounds, I have an understanding and patient relationship with my 16 year old son, I earn $200,000 a year, I operate a successful sales organization that successful recruits other professionals everyday, I have a loving relationship with God and listen for His wisdom daily
Now a balanced approach to this day may go as follows:
Wake up at 4:30 AM for a half hour of pray and meditation time, followed by a trip to the gym for a 45 minute work out, get ready for the day and start to make your calls to your prospects to successfully recruit another sales professional to your organization and check your organization to see how you can help them make more sales and recruit more people, followed by taking your 16 year old out to dinner and doing what ever he wants to do.
When you concentrate on the specific goal in the time that you are working on it with full concentration your mind should be focused on the goal at hand. If you mind is on your son while you are working on recruiting, you are doing both a disservice.
A balanced goals program can truly make the magic of labor produce results in your life that will add up to a successful life.
