Timeless Success Principles

I hoped you enjoyed the video by Napoleon Hill that I posted yesterday. I think it is quit amazing the black and white video recording, I’m not quite sure how long ago it was recorded by it was quite a while ago.

He wrote his great book, Think and Grow Rich, almost 100 years ago. It seems so long ago.

Around that same time, Wallace Wattles wrote his stand out book, The Science of Getting Rich, which also seems so long ago.

But the truth is you can go back as far as recorded history and find success principles documented. The Bible is one of the best personal development books you will ever find, with lots of examples of how acting in a certain way will effect you.

After my study of the subject to date, I have narrowed it down to a 4 Step Process that I believe can make you happy with yourself and your life.

So Here goes:

1. Desire – You need to have a desire to be, do or have something. This should be something that requires you to stretch. And it should also be something that you want with every fiber of your being. This will help you further down the road when you start to meet some resistance.

2. Plan – There is a price that has to be paid for every desire. When you meet the requirement, you will get what you desire. A note of caution here: Your plan does not have to be perfect. The price that has to be paid will require time and some sort of service to another.

3. Action – You need to take ACTION! If you do not take action, the chances are very slim that you will get your desire. The quicker you take action on your plan, the better the chance you have to get what you want. Action also allows you to make adjustments based on feedback from the action you are taking.

A note here also: You do not have what you desire because of the current actions you are taking. So you will need to do something that is different in order to get what you desire.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.

4. Repeat – Once you are in striking distance of getting to your current desire, you should start to set your sites on the next biggest desire. Do not plateau! Continue the climb. It’s ok to take a little time to celebrate but do celebrate too long. A nice rewards program is great to set up for yourself.

Success Principles are easy to understand but very difficult to follow through on. It takes concentrated effort and discipline to get to what you desire.

Sometimes we make it too difficult on ourselves.
