In the economic times that we find ourselves in, it is key that we develop these leadership skills in order to produce the results that our companies are looking for in the most productive manner possible.
When we start to develop these skills in our own lives and start to get the results that we are looking for, we become an example that others can look up to and emulate. This is why it is important, like Brian say in this video, “to live your life like you are living in a fish bowl and that everyone is watching.”
We have way to many examples of our current batch of “leaders” being caught in compromising situations and in spite of popular thinking, character does matter. It always has and it always will.
It is important to make sure that we are constantly checking ourselves and what we are doing and asking the question, “Is this something that I would mind having printed in the headlines of the most popular newspapers?” If the answer to that is, yes then keep on doing it, if the answer to that is No then stop it immediately.
