One of the most frequent questions I get is “Everything just seems to happen, how do I get my results to change?”<\/p>\n

The question I ask is “What have you been doing differently?”<\/p>\n

Most of the time this results with a blank stare or no answer.<\/p>\n

The sad fact is that most people want outside circumstances to change to make them happy. They want people to change, they want to hit the lottery, they want the weather to be better.<\/p>\n

Here is the key to change, that I got from Jim Rohn who got it from his mentor, “For things to change, you need<\/strong> to change.” Not things out side of you, but you.<\/p>\n

To get different results, you need to take different action.<\/p>\n

If you are always late and you want to start to be a person who is on time, then you<\/strong> need to start to leave early.<\/p>\n

This is one example but I think it illustrates the point perfectly.<\/p>\n

If you are relying on actions of others for you happiness, think about this. I got this from my good friend, Vic Johnson, he said, “If you get anything from anyone, it can be taken away.”<\/p>\n

Think about that for a second. If you are relying on something outside of you for your happiness, it can be taken away!<\/p>\n

Why would anyone want to relinquish that power to anyone or something outside of them?<\/p>\n

This isn’t for you… your happiness has to come from inside you. Regardless of the situation that happens outside of you. No matter how terrible the situation.<\/p>\n
