I have been studying success and success principles for almost 25 years. I have read countless books on the subject of success and there are some definite principles of success that never change.<\/p>\n

Now from business to business, and from century to century some of the techniques may change but the principles always stay the same.<\/p>\n

Below I will list what I feel are the most important success principles:<\/p>\n

1. All Success starts with a desire<\/strong> – Now this is the starting point of all success. Without the desire for something, you will take no action other than survival action. The desire has to be measurable and\u00a0time bound. It has to be crystal clear and you have to set a deadline for its completion.<\/p>\n

2. Your Thoughts Determine the level of success you will achieve in anything you do<\/strong> – You will only go as far as your self concept will allow. The key here is to stretch your self concept as you grow. My mentor, Jim Rohn says, “Set a goal to become a millionaire. Not just for the money, but because of the person you have to become in order to be worth a million dollars.”<\/p>\n

The fact is you can loose the million dollars but the person you have become to be worth a million dollars will always be there and you will soon be a millionaire again if you pull yourself up and get going again.<\/p>\n

3. You are responsible for your own happiness<\/strong> – If you have been a reader of this blog for any period of time you will say to yourself, “Here he goes again with this happiness thing.” But the fact remains, if you rely on others people or circumstances to make you happy, you will spend your whole life being very unhappy.<\/p>\n

When you rely on outside things to make you happy, you give away all the power to be happy to these outside circumstances.<\/p>\n

You have to think about this, if someone can make you happy and they know it, they can also make you very unhappy by taking what makes you happy away from you.<\/p>\n

Don’t give up that power.<\/p>\n

This is a very small but very powerful list of success principles that never change. In a future post I will list a few other very important success principles.<\/p>\n
