Some people write me and say that I repeat the same message over and over again.<\/p>\n

How about some “NEW”stuff?<\/p>\n

Success is NOT….<\/p>\n

– Flashy<\/p>\n

– Sexy<\/p>\n

– Exciting<\/p>\n

– Glamourous<\/p>\n

Success is…<\/p>\n

– Hard (At First)<\/p>\n

– Disipline<\/p>\n

– Work<\/p>\n

– Exciting (“Hold on, John. You said above success is not exciting!”) – I’ll explain later<\/p>\n

When it comes to success, there are countless books that cover the subject and the sections in the book stores are huge. But when you\u00a0dissect\u00a0these books and take out the real meat of the book, you will find that the message of each book is exactly the same.<\/p>\n

What does that tell you?<\/p>\n

It should tell you that if you focus on the few key success laws and continue to focus on them day in and day out you will succeed. But when people come to the realization that this takes a discipline and you are often faced with setbacks, they tend to look for the “get rich quick” methods.<\/p>\n

And then these same people will be the first to tell you that all this positive motivational stuff is all a bunch of crap while they smoke their cigarette and eat their Big Mac and complain about rotten their health is.<\/p>\n

Success is… BORING!<\/p>\n

And it is your ability to focus on these principles that will get you everything you desire. If you can not focus on these success laws, you will destined to live a life of mediocrity.<\/p>\n

What is exciting about working on these success principles is…<\/p>\n

1. When you stretch yourself to a new level, it is easy to rebound. My mentor, Jim Rohn, says, “Set a goal to become a millionaire. Not because of the money, but because of the person you have to become in order to be worth a million dollars.”<\/p>\n

There are many millionaire examples of people who became millionaires and lost the money for some reason or another, but quickly rebounded because they maintained the mindset necessary to become a millionaire.<\/p>\n

2. Success is exciting when you start to attain your desires. The key here is to always have “new” desires to stretch yourself for. It was reported that few of the early astronauts developed substance abuse issues when the returned from their visits to the moon because there was no focus on a “new” goal.<\/p>\n

They ended up developing a vision for after the accomplishment of the current desire.<\/p>\n
