It’s interesting that this seems to be a little different then the message that Barack Obama gave a couple weeks back. This message by Brian Tracy seems to be more focused more on what that individual did BY UTILIZING their skills and what they have learned in order to serve the community around them.
I’m not quite sure why this is such a confusing point.
I am in sales and I sell pretty aggressively in a very competitive market. I was told that a competitor came in to an establishment that I do a good amount of business and had quite a bit of my product on display, the competitors seemed to think that the best way to sell was the “fairness” approach, which is the weakest form of sales that I can think of.
“It’s not fair that they have all this display space, why can’t we have more space?”
The answer to that was because they do not service the store quite as well as I do.
This idea of fairness is weak and unfortunately it seems to be becoming a a prevalent way of thinking in our country which unfortunately goes against everything this country was built on.
When we start operating under the “fairness” philosophy, we start to lower standards and this does not serve us as a society and weakens us.
So get out there and serve others the best you can, learn the skills that need to learned in order to better serve those in your community.
