Are You Making a Difference in the Lives of Those in Your Social Netwoks?

One of the quotes that I refer back to on a regular basis is…

“You can have everything you want, if you just help ENOUGH people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar

This is probably one of the greatest quotes that I have ever come across. Zig has plenty of great quotes and I think this is his best by far. Here is something to consider about this quote, if for some reason, you don’t feel that you are getting what you want, then it is time to focus your efforts on helping more people get what they want.

And with all the technology that we have at our disposal, it is getting easier to get the pulse of what others are looking for. The key is finding a way to become a solution to these problems.

We have Facebook, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn.

We have photo sharing programs,

We have programs that share our locations with those in our social circles, where we can give those locations a thumbs up or a thumbs down depending on our experiences.

We have music sharing programs, where we can share our tastes in music and suggest music to our social circles.

With every passing day, we are getting more and more connected.

The question that we have to ask is:

How are we influencing the people in our social circles?

Are we being a source of positive, helpful information that is helping people or are we the ones that people are are blocking?

Is your in boxes filled with people looking for your guidance?

Are you a source of referrals that help your social circles?

Chances are if you were a good net worker before all of these online social networks came around, then you are probably just as good with the online services.

Over the next couple of days, I will be tackling the big social networking websites and breaking down each one and making some suggestions on how to make them work for you in a way that serves those that are in your social circles. Each one has their own niche and it is important to know how to use them.

If you start to make a difference to those in your Social networks, your life will start to take a direction for the better.

As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,

God Bless You,

John Clark

  1. John,

That is a great quote! I question whether that can always work, such as zero-sum game situations. What if they want what you also want – like your money?

  2. David,

I would suggest not to be in a zero sum game situation. This is a problem that we run into, with scarcity thinking we would think that what we see is all that there is. But this is not the case, there is ALWAYS something that we can do in a creative way that will satisfy all sides.

But it also requires that all sides have some skin in the game or be willing to give something up to get to the optimal situation.

We just need to be open to thinking creatively about these scenarios.

    Thank you for the comments.
