I know, I know…
The world is going to hell in a hand basket…
We are facing unprecedented times in the US, with unemployment still at about 9% and the government spending us in to oblivion, it’s no wonder most of us are worried about what the future holds.
Will we have our jobs in a year from now or will we be with the unemployed?
Will we be able to afford the things we like to do at a reasonable price or will inflation make our dollars worth a quarter?
Did you ever give it any thought as to why we are in this situation as a country or even better yet as a world?
Well, I have and I think it alls comes down to one thing…
Confidence!
If we are not confident in our leadership, we are tentative by nature not willing to extend ourselves in an environment that we are uncertain of how things are going to turn out. So for example, with the US government getting regulation happy, most businesses are holding onto their capital instead of hiring people to help them increase their business. You multiply that over the number of businesses across the country and you can easily see why we face the unemployment situation that we are in.
Further more, we have developed an entitlement mentality in our country as well, meaning that we have a certain part of our population that is living off the fruits of others via redistributive means through the government. We’ve all seen it, in line at the grocery store, we get in line behind them with a carriage full of steaks and lobsters and out comes this little card that looks like a credit card but it’s not and the money that is used to pay for that cart of food is tax money that has been taken out of our pay.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not opposed to helping those…
1. Can’t help themselves
2. Those who need help to bridge a temporary hand up to get on their feet again.
But the same ones that you see week after week, month after month, year after year, those are the ones that concern me.
Anyways, getting back to making sure that 2011 is still a good year for us…
Well, we are here because of our habits, plan and simple.
What we think and what we do will determine the outcomes that we get.
If we are not happy with the results, we are getting them we need to change what we are thinking and what we are doing.
That brings me to resource #1

Once we get our habits in order we need to be able to develop a goals system that will help us…
1. Set goals that are ours
2. Create a plan for it’s achievement
3. Stay motivated to see it through it’s completion.
That brings me to resource #2
100 Day Challenge – This is an unbelievable goals program focused on making a strong close of 2011. It is not to late to change this thing around.
Think about it, you only have control over your actions and if we take care of ourselves one person at a time it won’t be long before these troubles are behind us.
