Hourly Wage, Salary or Profit…

“You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value YOU bring to an hour.” – Jim Rohn

In the US, we have a minimum wage and every so often we will hear debates about what the minimum wage should be. And we hear about things called “living wage”, this is what our politicians use to garner votes for their next election.

The fact is we have people in our country making anywhere from $6 an hour up to $100,000 for an hour. And this is all done without any government intervention.

Why would someone make $6 for an hour while someone else could make $100,000 for an hour?

The answer is: the VALUE they bring to that hour.

This is the case now as it has been the case since the beginning of time.

When you become a person whose skills are valuable, you will have people lining up to pay you for that value.

And again the choice for this is up to us…

We can choose to become a person whose skills are valuable or we can continue to work for the minimum wage.

Don’t be confused by those debates about “raising” the minimum wage.
