When it comes to staying motivated, one of the best places to start is right in the beginning by becoming crystal clear to the smallest detail in whatever it is that you want to achieve.
It may not be very clear at first but it is very important to make sure you have a very clear picture in your head and ON PAPER of exactly what it is that you want to achieve.
The goal may start off very vague but as you move forward towards it you must make sure that you define it everyday as you move closer to the goal.
Here are some ideas to work with:
1.It doesn’t have to be a perfectly clear picture before you get started – Action is still king when it comes to reaching your goals so make sure that you start right away when you get the idea in your head.
*Personal example: About two months ago, I made a firm commitment with myself to get myself in better shape. This was the original idea. So the first thing I did was I immediately went to the gym – ACTION! But I knew that I would have define that goal even further so I got some information on fitness and weight loss from a source that I trusted to help me further define my goal.
Now I have my goal stated in specific body fat % and I have a goal to run a 5K with my son at his pace and he is going to be 18 years old and runs cross country and is on the track team. If you are interested you can check out my progress at http://www.burnthefatproof.com
2. Be specific – When it comes to numbers make sure to be very specific. For example: Instead of something like, “I want to make more money.” to something like “I earn $125,000 a year.”
Instead of “I want to loss weight.” try I am fit and trim with an 8.5% body fat percentage.”
When you start to clarify your goals in specifics, your mind will lock on to it like a heat seeking missile and as long as you stay motivated and take action that is consistent with that goal you will get to it as long as you never give up.
3. Make sure to have your next specific goal in line – As you move forward to your goal and you have it defined clearly, make sure to have your next goal set up and ready to go when you reach this one.
This is an advanced process and will help you make huge jumps in your life.
