If you listen to the different forms of media, you may hear about global warming (climate change now), carbon footprint, polar bears or green jobs. If you listen to the underlying message of these reports, they are constantly taking the role of humans on this earth and subverting them to the environment or the animals that live on this earth.
If you blindly listen to these messages and accept them, you will slowly start to think that you are just a pain in the butt to this world and your living is just a drain on the limited resources on this planet.
The fact is… God has created this world and He will supply all the resources that we need to live on this planet. Whether it is oil, food, water or any other resource that we need to live on this planet.
It is hard for me to believe that we have a God that would have created a planet that would not sustain the lives of His creation.
So what are you too do in light of all the messages to the contrary? This is a great question.
Here is what I think:
1. We need to accept God as the only absolute in our lives. For me I take it a step further and accept His Son, Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. This is a personal choice that I have made.
I find it absurd that there would be a thinking that this is all by accident. There is too much beauty in this world to think other wise. And if you look at the human body by itself, the fact that we live in such a complex body would only suggest that we have a God that created us.
2. We need to live our lives in the service of others. This applies in both a profitable manner and a charitable manner. We have develop a means of value that we call money and this is what we use in exchange for the things we need such as food, clothing and housing. We need to find a way of positively serving others in exchange for the money that we use to satisfy our basic needs and the needs of our family. From the excess, we need to reach out and help those *less fortunate.
*By less fortunate, I do not mean those who are capable of helping themselves but decide to sponge off the system. I mean those who do not have the mental or physical capabilities to help themselves. The mental part of that also includes those who are willing to do the right thing but have never been exposed to the proper philosophy of living a good and productive life, these people just need to be helped onto the RIGHT path.
3. Constantly look for ways to use your God given talents to help others. God has a purpose for you but it will come in His time. Our job is to be open and ready for when He calls on us to use that purpose for His glory. God works in His time frame not ours so we have to be patient, open and ready for when He calls on us to use our God given talents. But we have to be vigilant in looking and listening for that time.
Don’t be confused about this…
Your life will not be judged based on your carbon footprint. It will be judged based on whether you have done what you were put on this earth to do. By your efforts alone. Not by whether you have saved the polar bears or helped slow down the melting of the polar ice cap.
Your job is to be open to ways to positively serve the community you live in and to help those around that are *less fortunate then yourself.
And for me personally, that also includes accepting God’s Son, Jesus Christ as my personal savior. He is the only savior that I will need, not the US government or a global government. And not the global warming people.
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,
