Success and The Anchors of the Past Are Holding You Back

One of the biggest barriers to success are what I like to call anchors of the past. Now if you don’t know an anchor is something that is used to keep a boat from moving.

So the question that you have to ask yourself is, “What anchors from the past do I have holding me back from the success I deserve?”

Here are a few mental joggers to help you find some anchors that may be holding you back:

1. What failures have you experienced that may be holding you back?

2. Who have you offended that you keep beating yourself up about?

3. Who has hurt you or offended you that you when you think about them causes your stomach to turn?

4. Are there things that you wish you had done earlier in your life that you keep rehashing with yourself?

These are just a few questions to help you get started. The fact is when you constantly repeat past failures and past hurts over in your mind, you inevitably start to see these repeating patterns happen in your life over and over again.

And when you concentrate on anything it expands in your life as well.

In order to make forward movement in your life you have to move past these past failures and hurts in your life and release them.

Also you need to be able to forgive and forget… First with yourself and then others. When you forgive yourself and others you cut the rope to anchors that are impeding your forward motion.
