Success or Unsuccessful Living and The Price You Pay for Both

Living successfully is often a very arduous task, often requiring you to do things that are not always pleasant like getting up at five in the morning to go to the gym.

Or working into the wee hours of the morning to make a deadline. Or skipping a fun session to get something of high importance done.

These are the prices that have to be paid if you want to live a long, healthy and productive life.

But the rewards for this price are many.

But what do you pay if you just let this stuff slide:

1. If you don’t pay the price for your health, you will end up living a less than quality of life when this neglect catches up to you. I always shale my head and wonder about the people that use those riding carts in the grocery store. How did they get there? Did they exercise and eat properly or did they just leave it all to chance.

2. If you don’t pay the price to be profitably productive, you will end up living off the system. When you do only what is required to get by you leave an awful lot on the table. In order to profitably produce, you have to pay the price to find out what unique talents and abilities that you have to bring to the market. Are you willing to pay that price?

3. If you don’t pay the price to your valuable relationships, you will end up lonely. I often look back and I saw a pattern that I had going on when I was young. For a while I would be the one everyone wanted to hang around, and after a while it became all about me. And shortly after I took this mindset, my friends started to disappear. And I was shocked. When I discovered this pattern, I quickly changed the way I related to those around me and made it more about them and a lot less about me. I proud to say I have a great bunch of people I can call on just about anytime day or night.

In your relationships, do you make it about you or do you make it about them? My experience says that the more you make it about them, the better the quality of relationship you will have.

My mentor, Jim Rohn, says “You will pay a price, you will pay the price of discipline or you will pay the price of regret.”

The biggest price you pay for not living your life the best you can is a wasted life. Time is a perishable commodity and we are not getting anymore that what we currently have. Don’t waste another second living an unproductive, unprofitable life!

Also it is never too late to start, a lot of successful people became successful well after their 40’s and 50’s. There is always hope for anyone who wants to make a positive difference.

The choice if yours!
