I was having a real problem this morning getting focused on what I was going to write about today and I took a moment and sat back from my computer and asked God for a little help to come up with a topic to write about and this is where He lead me.
There is only one solution to the problems we face right now in this world and that is… GOD and living our lives in a Christ like manner!
When we take the time to look at the problems around us, they all stem from focusing on:
1. What we don’t have – This is a major problem because it leads to breaking several of the 10 commandments. Such as You shall not steal, You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.
2. Anything that does not work towards the glory of God – This basically covers all the other commandments.
When we are focused on what we don’t have we tend to think of ways to take from the source of what we don’t have. This is basically stealing. The media, advertisers, the news outlets and the government do a great job of creating a vision of scarcity.
The fact is our God is a wonderful God who has provided more then enough resources for us live a life where we are fed, clothed and have a roof over our head. The problem is that we have allowed people to get in the middle of what God wants to provide us… and us!
You may ask yourself, “John, how did we allow people to get in the middle of what God wants to provide for us and what we actually get?”
Great question!
Well we have turned our back on Him, we have not lived our life according to the way He wants us to live which allows people to position themselves between God and us.
When we are desperate, we will do ANYTHING to get food in our stomachs. But we have allowed ourselves to get into this positions in the first place which only happens when we do not live according to the way God wants us to live.
When we start to focus our efforts on the needs of those around us and I mean those that are immediately around us, we start a ripple effect that goes out into the world.
Let me give you an example:
If you are a Godly person and you bring up your children in the same way, they go out into the world and will probably produce the same type of family that will go out and produce more Godly people.
If you help those in your immediate community, you will become an example for those that you help, that they may also go out and help others.
And the ripple effect continues from there.
But if your focus is on what you don’t have, all you do is think about how to take from others which is very short sighted and destructive in the end.
So how can we start to positively effect those around us?
Start today!!!!
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,
God Bless You.
