The late great, Jim Rohn, said that… “Time is more valuable than money. You can always get more money but you can’t get more time.”
When it comes to your time and your success, how you use your time is extremely important when it comes to your success. Frankly, how you use your time will determine your level of success.
If you are not using your time doing activities that are moving towards your goals, you are wasting your time.
This is why it is important to make sure you have a balanced goals list.
For example: One of my major goals is getting myself back in shape. You can check out my progress at http://www.burnthefatproof.com . So everyday I focus some of my time towards going to the gym and preparing meals that are conducive with the shape I am looking to be in.
Then as the day moves on I am working on my professional goals being in sales that involves getting in front of prospects and making product presentations.
The key is making sure that you are focusing your time on activities that are moving you towards your balanced set of goals.
Another great saying that Jim Rohn said was “Results is the name of the game.”
Do not confuse activity with accomplishment. If you are in sales, sitting in the office shuffling paper work is not moving you further towards a sale. This is busy work and should be avoided if at all possible.
Here are a few points to consider when it comes to time:
1. If you do not have a balanced goal list, this is a must. This is the only way that you will know if you are using your time properly. One of the biggest time wasters is not having a goals list.
2. There are only a few activities per goal that will get you to where you want to be. There are not a million things, there are only a few. Let’s look at my fitness goal, the activities involved is cardio training, weight training, decreasing my caloric intake and eating foods that are good for my health. This applies to every goal that you can make for yourself.
3. Time is a perishable commodity. We have a finite amount of time. So every minute counts.
I hope you find this useful.
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,
John Clark

When people ask me about what success is I say it is all about time leverage. Money is not everything but it can pay for the trip. As long as I don't spend my time in rush hour I'll be successful.
