Think about where you are right now at 10:21 PM on Friday night before 2011….
You have either been reaping a harvest from seeds that you have sown over the last couple of years or you have been suffering from reduced income, unemployment or just stuck in a lack luster rut or some where in between.
The fact is…
With everything going on and a lot of it not being great for many, there has been a lack of confidence at many levels.
The solution is that we need to start having confidence in our abilities to provide a service for others that they are willing to exchange what they do for value or money.
And if we currently do not have the skills necessary to provide this value, then we need to get it!!!
The focus has to get back to providing value, which is where I see things going.
No matter what happens with the world’s economy, everything still flows to those who provide the value that others want.
The VALUE that others want!!!!
If you are looking to make some great strides, then start looking for ways to provide value to those who are right around you.
2011 has to be the year of providing value!!
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,

Have a nice blessed 2011 year! and more success!
John,
This is a really powerful post! As I read it one thing that kept coming to mind for me was the famous saying from Mr. John C. Maxwell; “Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
When you talk about “bringing value” to a person, it can mean so many things, to so many different people. I wanted to say that this doesn’t have to be something big and complicated. Something as simple as volunteering at your local soup kitchen, brings an incredible value for the charity that needs your help.
When you donate blood you bring value for the person who needs the gift of life.
I remember not that long ago I volunteered my time at a local non profit, and if was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed my time there.
But when a person is able to do more, this only magnifies their personal reward! I once listened to Dave Ramsey speak about “Elf-ing”. This is handing out $100 bills to people you meet on the street. I recalled Mr. Ramsey saying a wonderful feeling is tipping the waitress working on Christmas Day a $100. It’s clear the person can use the money, otherwise it’s likely they would not be working on Christmas Day.
A book I’d like to recommend to everyone is The Go Giver, by Bob Burg, and John Mann. It is a must read!!
Like you say John, let’s all find a way to find a way to bring value, and make 2011 our best year yet!
Ryan, Thank you for the kind comments. And you are right… the focus has to be on creating value no matter how small or how big.
Just start looking for a need and fill it with the value that you have at hand.
Our economy can go to hell in a hand basket but at the end of the day, value still flows to those who provide a value that others want.
I hope you have a wonderful 2011!!
Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess and God Bless You,
