How will all this Bad Economic News Effect You and What should you Do About it?

If you haven’t lived under a rock for the last week, you have without doubt heard or read about how bad the economy is in the US. And if you are listening, it’s going to be getting a lot worse before it gets any better.

Now you may be thinking to yourself, “John, this doesn’t sound like your normal message. Your normal message would tell us to avoid those messages and take care of ourselves.”

And you are right… but here are the facts…

1. You will be in contact with many people who will be negatively effected by this economy. Your family, your co-workers and friends.

2. Business all over the world will be effected by the economic forces in motion right now. There is no country that will not be effected by these trying times. And your business will be effected by these economic circumstances.

OK… that is the negative part – out of the way! Now on to the positive…

With every adversity comes the seed of it’s solution, and when we get past this economic debacle, we will be stronger as a world.

Here is what you can do to isolate yourself and limit the effect on yourself:

1. Re focus your efforts on finding ways to provide value to others – No matter how bad it gets there will always be some form of currency that exchanges hands. From those who require a service or product to those who provide it. This is a principle that will never change.

2. Increase your income while decreasing your outflows – Look for ways to increase your income through multiple streams of income. If you are relying on one stream of income and that income dries up. Game over… But when you operate with several sources of income, if one dries up, you still have an additional stream coming in while you set up another.

Decrease your liabilities. When you are in a positive cash flow you have more options and options are the name of the game. When you owe more than what you have coming in your options are limited and you are trapped.

These are very trying times we are in but when you prepare yourself, you will be in much better shape then if you let the winds of change blow you all over the place.

Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,

John Clark
